Li Yue was born in China and graduated from the University of the Arts London. He is currently based in Shanghai.

 

His debut short film I Have No Legs, and I Must Run won Best Short Film at the 2022 BFI London Film Festival Official Competition, a Silver Award at the Cannes Golden Lion Young Directors Award (YDA), and Special Mention at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Hong Kong IFVA. It was also selected for various other film festivals, including FIRST Film Festival, Stockholm Film Festival, and NOWNESS Film Festival. It was featured as a Vimeo Staff Pick and Short of the Week.

 

He has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Louis Vuitton, Huawei, Vivo, Nowness, OnePlus, and Realme.

 

He is currently preparing a new feature film and a narrative short film.
